Director's Message
Welcome to the Orthopaedic Residency Training Program for the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery of Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Our program sets the standard for a solid foundation in orthopaedic surgical training and leadership. Over the past seven years, the residency has seen a transformation. We have nationally and internationally renowned surgeons in every subspecialty who are not only exceptional teachers and clinicians, but also spectacular mentors. This has led to the development of exceptional residents that perform and obtain high-level orthopaedic fellowship training in all subspecialties at some of the country’s most renowned facilities. Northwestern’s Orthopaedic Surgery Residency is committed to having a world-class Orthopaedics program for education and mentorship of tomorrow’s orthopedic leaders.
The experience of residents and fellows in our programs is truly unique. Northwestern’s program is founded in a rigorous daily didactic program and a robust surgical simulation curriculum in the NCASE lab. In addition to working with our expanding group of talented faculty members, our residents and fellows have an opportunity to learn in a variety of care environments and treat diverse patient populations. This is thanks to our department’s many partner hospitals: Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, Northwestern Memorial Hospital and John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County.
I hope you find our site informative and encourage you to contact me or any of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery faculty with any additional questions.
